Joining Skylight in January 2008, Darrell brings proven experience in marketing, branding, positioning and selling interactive technology products & services into large-scale healthcare, corporate, public sector, and consumer markets. Most recently, Darrell was the president of The Launch Pad, a rapid deployment marketing communications firm serving a select group of clients in the healthcare technology arena. Prior to the Launch Pad, he was VP of Marketing at iMetrikus (now called Numera Health), a healthcare technology company that was among the pioneers in the development of personal health records and remote patient monitoring. Before joining iMetrikus, Darrell was Director of Marketing at WebSideStory (acquired by Omniture) and had previously served as director of marketing & communications for Excalibur Technologies (now known as VerticleSearchWorks). Darrell is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of New Mexico through its General Honors Program.

    The truth of the matter is that this new site is long overdue—and has been the cause of many a long nights for our marketing and design team as we juggle the endless possibilities and opportunities that a new Web presence provides. More than just renovating, we are creating something completely new with fresh perspective on the rapidly changing healthcare market. In addition to reflecting the advances in our product development and the strides our clients have made in improving the patient experience, we are leveraging “social” channels—and this blog in particular—to provide the most up-to-date forum for sharing new ideas on how Interactive Patient Systems (IPS) can ultimately enhance the care experience for patients and families.

    As the IPS market continues to gain momentum—coupled with the fact that more and more healthcare organizations are looking for ways to proactively engage patients and family—Skylight is committed to providing impactful and relevant information and knowledge as to how to effectively harness the capabilities of IPS to improve patient satisfaction efforts.
